Ascension Cares Ministry Team

The Ascension Cares Ministry Team offers you the opportunity to use your gifts and talents to serve others within our church community. You can click on any of the following links to get more information on these opportunities.

Eucharistic Visitors
Ascension is blessed with a number of Eucharistic Visitors, parishioners who are specially trained and licensed to that take Holy Communion to members of the parish who are not able to come to church on Sunday.

Letter/Card Writing Ministry
Members send letters/cards to those celebrating a birthday, experiencing loss and grief, serving in the military, etc. (Note: Supplies will be provided if needed).

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Those who create Ascension’s Prayer Shawls surround themselves and their work with prayer. As they knit or crochet each Shawl, prayers and blessings are offered for the person who will ultimately receive the Shawl.

Prayer Chain
Members are contacted regularly to pray for those requesting prayer.   We also hope to expand the ministries we provide in the near future. Food Ministry
Members provide food for funerals, for those experiencing illness, loss, the arrival of a new baby, etc.
