Prayer Shawl Ministry
Those who create Ascension’s Prayer Shawls surround themselves and their work with prayer. As they knit or crochet each Shawl, prayers and blessings are offered for the person who will ultimately receive the Shawl. Upon completion, these Shawls are placed upon Ascension’s altar to receive a final blessing before they are sent on their way. While those who receive these prayer-soaked Shawls are as varied as the Shawls themselves, each is touched by the love and compassion that God has woven within each thread.
