Quilt Guild

If you are interested in quilting and have some knowledge of sewing, Ascension’s Quilt Guild is interested in you! We meet once a month from September through May, usually at Manwaring House (behind the church) following the 10:00 a.m. service, but sometimes at a member’s home or at a quilt shop. We share a potluck lunch, and often have members or invited quilters demonstrate a new technique, quilting tool, or sewing project.

We enjoy a variety of activities throughout the year. In what has become an annual tradition at Ascension, we make a lap-size quilt for each of our graduating high school seniors and present them during a springtime Sunday service. We have also made quilts for clergy, as well as a quilt to be auctioned or raffled at Ascension’s fall fund-raiser. During January or February, we usually go on a retreat to Belisle Ranch in Amery, Wisconsin. In addition to guild members, this popular event is also open to women from outside Ascension who share a love for quilting, crafting, and good fellowship.

Whether you are an experienced quilter, or someone who is just getting started, if you are looking for an opportunity to share your time and talents, while also sharing in fun and fellowship, we would love to have you join us.
