Vestry Verbiage       Linda Amrein, Sr. Warden           November 14, 2011 The November 14 Vestry meeting opened with Rev Buff Grace offering An Order of Worship for the Evening.  The following items or concerns were addressed that evening:

• Sally Anderson, Acting Executive Director, and Kris Huntley, Church Partner Coordinator, of Valley Outreach gave a brief presentation to help us better understand the various programs of this local community-supported non profit organization.
• Louise Fenner, Chairperson of Bagpipes & Bonfires 2011, gave a written and verbal report about the success of the September 24 fundraiser, discussing suggested improvements for future events.  Net profit was $14,973.50.  THANKS TO LOUISE AND HER ENTIRE CREW OF VOLUNTEERS for a wonderful evening!
• Approved October 17 vestry meeting minutes.
• Approved treasurer's report for October 2011.
• Draft 2012 parish budget was presented and much informative discussion followed.  Plan is to present the budget to the congregation at the January Annual Meeting. Further budget refinement will be done at December and January vestry meetings.  A stewardship letter regarding pledges to the budget will be sent to parishioners this week.  Share Sunday is November 20.
• Approved funding to (1) purchase a wireless microphone ($549) and (2) accept bids to replace/repair/clean several storm windows on Manwaring House (up to $3500).
• Formally nominated parishioner Dawnlynn Greeney for Postulancy in the Holy Order of Diaconate.  Let us all support Dawnlynn as she continues in this exciting training and service to God and God's church.
• Confirmed the process to approve bylaw changes. Edited copy of bylaws has been distributed to vestry members for any final changes.  Bylaws will be presented to congregation at Annual Meeting, with pertinent information given ahead of time.
• Nominating Committee gave its written report of progress towards vestry elections, to be held at Annual Meeting.  INTERESTED IN RUNNING FOR VESTRY?  Contact a warden, Buff or committee members Susie Danielson, Vicki Kramer and Michelle Truman.
• New vestry retreat will be February 3 (evening) and 4, 2012.
• Annual Meeting will be held after 9:00 am service on Sunday, January 29, 2012.
• Next vestry meeting is December 19 at 7:00 pm in parish hall.
