Artists of all mediums and genres welcomed and encouraged. Singers, musicians, poetry-readers, actors, etc. are welcome to sign up. Performances must be family friendly and refrain from any political speech, swearing, overtly sexual content, or content that is not in the spirit of a loving, inclusive community. Ascension Church has the right to ask an artist to vacate the stage if these guidelines are not followed.
Performance slots are limited within our 90 minute timeframe. A link for the registration sign up will be available on this page at noon on Wednesday, September 16th. Performance slot sign ups are filled on a first-come, first serve basis.
Performance slots are a maximum of 10 minutes each. Artists are expected to arrive 10 minutes before the start of the open mic night, and will not have an opportunity to sound check. Erickson Plaza will provide two microphone and plug in to additional inputs for an instrument. Musicians should plan to bring any other needed equipment that can be set up immediately. (Less than 5 minute change over time between artists.). Questions on sound logistics can be directed to j.bolen@aechurch.org
If you don’t get a slot at this Plaza Unplugged event, don’t worry! If this event is successful, we plan to hold more in the 2028 season.
